Looking for a sled system with a generous amount of space? The Expedition pulk has the largest payload space available out of the three of our systems! It is also being utilized by well-known organizations such as US Homeland Security, the National Park Service and by Piragis Outdoors for their rental pulks.
Outside Dimensions: The Expedition is 6' 4" long to the top of the nose where the pole connection points are and 18" wide (at the widest point in the back) by 7" high (including the runners).
The cargo space is 13" wide (on the inside bottom of the sled at the back) and 18" wide across the top of the sled at the back. It tapers to 12" across the inside bottom of the sled at the front and 16" across the top of the sled at the front. It is 6" deep and 6ft long (along the inside bottom of the sled, not including the slanted nose at front).

Fiberglass pulks are elegant and offer wonderful strength to weight ratios. They perform best in snowy conditions where rocks are not an issue. The 6 foot fiberglass Expedition system is similar to the renowned Great Outdoors Expedition pulk with several improvements:

1. The sled now has UHMW poly runners (dogsled runner material).
2. We now have a full length #10 YKK zipper (with zipper pulls).
3. We have replaced the mid-pole coupler with threaded stainless couplers that have no play and are incredibly strong (no slop or pins any more).

4. We have added padding below the rear harness adjustment buckle.
5. We have changed the harness attachment to a stainless pin and ball joint for outstanding control.

EXPEDITION
The complete Expedition package includes the 6ft fiberglass sled, split poles, full harness, one tin of Maxx Waxx and the heavy duty cordura cover with #10 zippers and large zipper pulls.

Color of all fiberglass sleds is OFF WHITE. MaxiGlide Maxx Waxx Fluoro paste wax is used to prevent ice build up in certain conditions. Additional tins of wax can be purchased and included with your order. |
